Mike started in the construction industry as a carpenter in 1995. He was brought on-board at Kelpe Contracting in 2006 to manage our small tool and small equipment division commonly referred to as “Lock-up.” Mike currently manages Lock-up, but has also assumed estimator and project manager responsibilities. He specializes in pump stations, water features, and storm sewer projects. Mike has worked closely with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), and various State Parks around the state of Missouri. He has also developed relationships with smaller residential clients for the installation and maintenance of private sanitary sewer systems. Mike completed a 2-year Building Trades Program at Four Rivers Career Center. When Mike is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s baseball team, and collecting/restoring antique tractors.
