Dana began her journey in the construction industry by taking an accounting position at a construction company in 1997. Her strong background in accounting has allowed her to work in many capacities throughout her career. Dana has worked as a tax professional preparing tax returns for businesses, individuals, and not for profit organizations. She has also worked as a controller, where she managed an accounting department of 30 people and was responsible for the company’s budget ($48 million). She also developed and maintained the policies and procedures for Sarbanes Oxley audits. Dana has served on the board of directors for Old Newsboys, a charitable organization that raises money for children’s charities. Dana came on board Kelpe Contracting in 2013 as the office manager with responsibilities including accounts payable and weekly payroll. She has since advanced within the company and is currently the Director of Accounting and Corporate Treasurer. Her current responsibilities include month end close, overseeing accounts payable, weekly payroll, job cost analysis, accounts receivable review, and supervising the accounting department. Dana earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Methodist University in 1997 with a double minor in Economics and Business Administration. When Dana is not at work, she enjoys her role as a girl scout leader, scrapbooking, camping, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
